Parent order doesn't matter. For Tier 8 and above, the tracker currently assumes three parents from the preceding tier. Identical parents are allowed.
Bulk-import recipes for one animal
One recipe per line. Separate parent names with + (example: Cat + Bunny). For Tier 8, use three names.

Your own discovery progress. Confirmed recipes are shared, but the animals you mark discovered stay personal to this browser.
Each undiscovered animal appears once, even if it has 100 recipes. In spoiler-free mode, only the parent combination is shown.
Combinations with no recorded result in the shared encyclopedia. These are not necessarily undiscovered in the game.

Checks each known animal individually against your current inventory, including intermediate breeding steps. Results are alternatives, not items you can all make simultaneously.
About Petlings Merge Tracker
Petlings Merge Tracker is a free, unofficial fan-made companion for discovering animals, keeping track of your collection, and planning merges. Browse community-documented recipes or follow a guided merge plan using the animals you already own.
New here? You can use the tracker without an account. Signing in with GitHub is optional and lets you sync your personal progress between devices.
Getting started
- Animals: Mark the species you've discovered. Use Show Spoilers if you want to browse the complete encyclopedia.
- Inventory: Enter how many of each animal you currently own. Update quantities whenever you hatch or merge animals.
- Discover: Find undiscovered animals and possible merge combinations. Your inventory helps identify which options are closest.
- Planner: Choose From Scratch to plan from Tier 1, or Use My Inventory to work with your existing animals. Follow the guided merge steps and recalculate after your inventory changes.
- Recipes: Browse documented merge recipes. Recipes are shared; your collection and inventory are personal.
- Backup: Manage your account, syncing, and privacy preferences.
Quick answers
What's the difference between From Scratch and Use My Inventory?
From Scratch assumes you have no starting animals. Use My Inventory considers the animals you currently own, so it may require fewer Tier 1 animals and merges.
What are undocumented combinations?
These are combinations without a confirmed result in this shared encyclopedia. They might already be known by other players. Administrative research tools are not available to regular visitors.
What if a merge gives me an unexpected animal?
Update Inventory to match what actually happened in the game, then recalculate the plan using your latest inventory.
Will I lose progress if I switch devices?
Guest progress is stored in the browser. To sync across devices, sign in with the same GitHub account and use the cloud-sync options under Backup.
How do spoilers work?
Use the Show Spoilers controls on Animals and Recipes to decide whether undiscovered animals and their recipes appear. Discover also has its own result-reveal setting.
